BlowerWorks announces a new electronic product that supports the supercharging/turbocharging industry... the CODEBUSTER 103 tm . All 1996 and newer General Motors vehicles utilize state-of-the-art Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) that recognize the standardized federally mandated On-Board Diagnostics (OBD II) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). DTC number P0103, (MAF Sensor Circuit High Frequency) occurs at approximately 6 pounds of manifold boost pressure: indicating excess engine air flow. This code may be set as a result of supercharging the engine. The error code is displayed on the dash as the SES (Service Engine Soon) indicator light and is stored in the PCM. The Carroll CODEBUSTER 103 tm holds the frequency output of the Mass Air Flow Sensor at the equivalent of 5¾ pounds of boost (clamp point is adjustable) thus preventing the excess air flow error code. This product is plug-to-plug compatible with the MAF and takes less than 1 minute to install. It is totally transparent to the PCM. |
